A bleeding cut in the rocks, a spilling of light and color from within. Healing vs. hurting, Rising vs. Sinking, Bleeding vs. Hardening. My first bigger painting!

This is part of a series I am working on of imagined landscapes. I am interested in the future of our natural landscapes, and fascinated by the idea of what they might look like post-anthropocene. It ends up circling back around for me, maybe looking more like it did before humans. I am adding bits of color as just suggestions, and also to nod to the bleaching of the world we have done.

Beautiful wooden framing with non-glare glass by Logos in Lockhart, TX.

Thank you!
